It is our purpose and heart's desire that Calvary Chapel Arroyo Grande will come along side parents in the training of their children.
Our goal is to make disciples by treaching the children to know God intimately, to love God passionately and to serve God selflessly.
Our vision is to fully equip each young person to be part of the Body of Christ that they may fulfill God's call upon their lives into adulthood. We provide opportunities for this growth through teaching, outreaches and evangelism.
Our special needs class welcomes physically and mentally handicapped children of all ages, such as Autism, Down syndrome, CP, and mental difficulties. Pam is a credentialed special education teacher and has trained assistants in the classroom. The lessons are Bible based and are developed to meet individual needs of each student which includes "hands on" activities. They also join the entire Sunday school for a time of praise and worship.
Covered with Love consists of women from various churches in our area and Southern California with one focus which is to serve our Lord Jesus Christ.
It is the prayerful desire of the Cornerstone Bookstore that it might serve the body of Christ by providing a wide variety of "spiritual food."

One of the issues with women that had plagued my heart was this; a few years ago, a young mother with a severely autistic son, felt so alone with no one to turn to she took her young son by the hand and jumped off of a bridge killing both of them.
I never forgot that horrible tragedy.
I accepted Jesus as my Savior in 1974, while attending Calvary Chapel, Costa Mesa, California I have two daughters, Shelly and Sheryll, they have blessed me with eight (8) grandchildren. I am a widow now as my husband went home to be with the Lord in February of 2007.
After my husband died I had the opportunity to reach out and teach in Hungary, Serbia and assisted in teaching in Kyrgyzstan. This cemented a long term desire of mine for the missionary field.
In January of 2010, I attended Calvary chapel's missionary conference in Murrieta, Ca. I had signed up for a web missionary work shop. I quickly realized I was in the wrong work shop as I knew nothing about creating a web site. I still hadn't figured out how to get on facebook. I was seated in the front row, right in front of the speaker, I looked around for a discrete escape.......there wasn't one. Then the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart, you are not here by accident I put you here! The Holy Spirit placed the desire to create this web-site for the purpose of helping women on issues they might feel they are struggling with alone.
I have been through a Double Mastectomy, Ovarian cancer, an unfaithful husband resulting in a divorce, the loss of my husband from Leukemia, children who walked away from the Lord, and having one of my daughters kidnapped and raped. I know about sadness and loss, the failure of a marriage, drugs. I also know of my God's Saving Grace, I could never have gotten through any of this without Him walking with me, lifting me up and carrying me when I didn't think I could take anymore.
My prayer is that you are comforted by the different testimonies, that you learn to lean on Jesus. You can read my testimony here.
Remember the scripture:
There are several great Bible studies taught by the Women's ministry of Calvary Chapel, Arroyo Grande, Ca. along with teaching's from well known International speakers. I hope and pray you are richly blessed by this site, don't hesitate to share this with your friends.
Ovarian cancer is a insidious disease. To many women discover to late they are suffering from this, each year almost 75% of women diagnosed with Ovarian cancer will die. Help me help research discover the bio-marker for early detection and cure. Click here to view the Ovarian cancer website. Thank you and God Bless you
